New York: Times Square

It was a lot grander the last time I came. It could quite possibly be because I was in 4th grade.

It looks better on TV. That's all I have to say...

New York: Hot Dog

On our way to the southeast corner of central park, we stopped by an authentic New York Hot Dog vendor.

This guy makes it all! Hot dogs, sausage, chestnuts, pretzels, you name it!

Just look at it. So bad but soooo good! The sauerkraut was good too! :)

New York: Subway

We took the subway everywhere! Although, it's kinda strange it costs the same no matter how far you take it.

Our Metrocard! We did pretty well with it because we only had $0.50 left over.

Ugh, was it hot down here in the summer! At least the trains had AC! :)

New York: Upper Playground

It sucks.

Portland and SF are the only good ones so far...

New York: Dessert Truck

We were walking in lower east side and from across the street we saw... the dessert truck!!!

How much better can it get? Dessert? From a truck?!? Well, I guess you can think of ice cream as dessert.. and we do have ice cream trucks.. but this is no ice cream. Where else can you get creme brulee and tiramisu from a truck? Awesomeness.

but... too bad we were all so full from dinner that we didn't get to try it.

next time... next time...

New York: How Brooklyn shops for groceries

It's kinda cool. It's like back in the olden days when markets were owned by families. It's like it has never changed. It's true... the whole time we were in NY I did not see a single supermarket. All the markets were like this one. Very authentic :) Oh yes, and open 24 hrs!

New York: Rice to Riches

If Rice to Riches ever hits the west coast, it will be just like that yogurt fad that happened two years ago. It may or may not. Since yogurt was advertised as "healthy" with the active cultures and whatnot, this rice pudding is quite the opposite. In the store, there are signs posted that praise the thick and persecute the thin.

It's still cool. They give you these awesome bowls you can take home. it even comes with a weird flat spoon thing that you can't use for anything else except rice pudding and even a lid!

there are so many flavors to choose from. they even let you sample it.

Don't worry California, you're bound to see one soon!

New York: Pineapple Bun

So... while we were in NY, Josh's Dad was so awesome and he bought us the best pineapple buns everyday for breakfast. Milk tea + Pineapple Bun < $2 sooo awesome!! sooo awesome because not only was it cheap, it was super delicious! <3
